Geared towards the beginner to intermediate fly fisher, this weekend clinic will help you fly fish with confidence while improving your skills.
​

Friday June 11:
Arrive and check in between 3-5pm at Frying Pan Angler fly shop: 231 Midland Ave, Basalt, CO 81621
​
5pm: Happy Hour at Frying Pan Anglers with an introduction to fly rods, reels, lines, and other gear.
Dinner to follow at Capitol Creek Brewery.
​
Saturday June 12:
Breakfast and lunch provided. Spend all day on the river with your guide learning how to read water; understand when to use various rigging and casting techniques; knots; basic entomology; landing/netting fish and river safety.
Dinner to follow at Free Range Kitchen & Wine Bar.

Sunday June 13:
Breakfast and lunch provided. Spend all day fishing while practicing skills and tactics with your guide as your coach.
​
By the end of the clinic you will be able to:
Set up your gear, tie 2+ types of knots, identify 3-5+ bugs and fly patterns, analyze river structure for feeding lanes, practice a variety of casts and understand line control, safely net and release fish, and so much more....plus share lots of stories.

What's Included:​
​
1. Modern and comfortable accommodations at Frying Pan River Lodge with private river access.
​
2. All meals - 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners + snacks.
​
3. Two days on the river with a professional guide as your instructor and coach.
​
4. Rental gear (waders + boots) are available as needed. Using your own rod and reel is highly encouraged.
​
5. SWAG Bag!

What's Not Included:

1. Transportation to/from the lodge.
​
2. Gratuity for your guides.

Pricing Varies by Lodging:
Prefer to have your own accommodations for the weekend?
$800 per person - a riverside studio with 2 queen beds, bathroom, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, high speed Wifi, radiant heat flooring.
​
Do you have another friend who wants to participate in the women's clinic?
$650 per person - share a riverside studio with the same amenities above or a room in the house which features a full kitchen with island, dining room, living room, covered front deck with river views, rear patio, high speed Wifi, radiant heat flooring.

Registration must be completed by each individual participant. We have limited the clinic to only 8 women. The participant to guide ratio will be 2:1 to ensure you get personalized, customized attention during the clinic.

What to Bring:
​
For the river
-Comfortable clothing + plenty of layers for wearing with waders (pants, sun shirts, and jackets; preferably not cotton)
-Hiking-style, non-cotton socks
-Shoes or sandals to wear to/from the river
-Hat and polarized sunglasses
-Sunscreen and lip balm
-Buff or neck gaiter
-Water bottle
-Fishing pack or vest, net, rod and reel, fly boxes (not required but encouraged to use your own)
-Waders and boots (also available to borrow as needed)

For the dinners
-Casual attire, nothing too fancy, just be you!
