Women’s fly fishing clinic on the beautiful Frying Pan River with lodging at Frying Pan River Lodge. **Geared towards the beginner to intermediate fly fisher who wants to learn how to fish with confidence and improve their skills. Outfitter + Sponsor: Frying Pan Anglers + AURA Expeditions Friday June 11, 5pm: Happy Hour at Frying Pan Anglers and Introduction to fly rods, reels, lines, and other gear. Dinner to follow at Capitol Creek Brewery. Saturday June 12: Breakfast and lunch provided. Spend all day on the river with your guide learning various casting techniques, knots, entomology, reading water, landing/netting fish, and river safety. Dinner to follow at Free Range Kitchen & Wine Bar. Sunday June 13: Breakfast and lunch provided. Spend all day fishing and practicing skills and tactics with your guide as your coach. By the end of the clinic you will be able to: set up your gear, tie 2 different types of knots, identify 3-5+ bugs and fly patterns, analyze river structure for trout feeding lanes, safely net and release fish, and much more.... plus share lots of stories. This small group for only 8 women is a great way to meet new friends, learn new skills, and enjoy spending time on the river. Modern and comfortable accommodations plus 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners (+snacks) are included in your weekend. Rental gear is available; flies will be provided for fishing.
